Job Posting: Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: VP of Operations

Salary Range: $69,000-$85,000

 

Primary Objective:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support the development of a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment.  This position encompasses a blend of strategic and administrative duties including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and ensuring HR compliance. This position will also collaborate with leadership across departments to execute core HR functions, ensure legal compliance, and support organizational effectiveness. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Support:
    • Serve as a primary HR contact for all departments.
    • Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
    • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
    • Draft and update HR policies, procedures and documentation.
    • Help resolve payroll discrepancies

 

  1. Employee Relations and Compliance:
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
    • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Investigate and resolve employee issues and concerns.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (PFL, ADA, FMLA, etc.)

 

  1. Talent Management:
    • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
    • Coordinate onboarding programs to ensure seamless new hire integration.

 

  1. Training and Development:
    • Support performance management and employee review processes.
    • Identify training needs and recommend learning and development initiatives.
    • Facilitate workshops or partner with vendors to deliver targeted training programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
